O.J. Simpson

December 5th, 2008: Former NFL star O.J. Simpson is sentenced to 33 years in prison for kidnapping and armed robbery.

Nicknamed the ‘Juice’ during his professional football career O.J. Simpson became the first player to rush for over 2,000 yards in a 14 game season.

He became infamous for being found not guilty of killing his ex-wife Nicole Brown and another man in a court case in 1995. The verdict was shown live on TV and watched by half of the country.

Simpson was convicted in 2008 of armed robbery and kidnapping and sentenced to a nine to 33 year prison term. He was released in 2017.
